Read Dr. Tomori on Kindred: The Meet the Wayfinders series is an oral history collection of empowering personal stories, including video interviews with nine professionals, parents and scientists who have found ways to circumvent barriers to advocacy. breastfeeding, or who simply broke them! The series was created at the invitation of La Leche League International to celebrate their 65th anniversary conference which was held from October 15-18, 2021. Although the series premiered live in October, audiences can still see the collection on the LLLI website through April 2022. The LLLI Lecture Collection includes an introductory video, where participants learn about the five hallmarks of Pathfinder Advocacy, as well as highlights from the nine talks. Participants will also receive a PDF resource guide to help them find the many references discussed in the collection. The conference link to the collection also includes the nine full interviews, each lasting 15 to 30 minutes. All of our presenters touch on the opportunities that await us in our post-pandemic world and how, with an understanding of the characteristics of successful barrier-breaking, we, too, can answer the call to become a pathfinder, to introduce and integrate a a new way forward where we are as individuals, and to joyfully come together to build a breastfeeding-friendly culture.
